These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaners Ilford provides cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. By making a booking, using our services, or allowing our operatives access to your premises, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

1.1 Carpet Cleaners Ilford, we, us, our means the cleaning service provider trading under the name Carpet Cleaners Ilford.

1.2 Client, you, your means any individual, firm, company, or other party who requests or uses our services.

1.3 Services means carpet cleaning and any related cleaning services provided by us as agreed with the client.

1.5 Booking means a confirmed request for services made by or on behalf of the client and accepted by us.

2. Scope of Services

2.1 We provide professional carpet cleaning and associated services to clients within Ilford and surrounding local areas, subject to availability and our operational coverage at the time of booking.

2.2 The specific services to be delivered, including any special requirements, will be agreed at the time of booking. Only the services expressly agreed will be carried out.

2.3 We reserve the right to decline or terminate any service where, in our reasonable opinion, conditions at the premises pose a risk to health and safety, breach applicable regulations, or prevent us from carrying out the work to a reasonable standard.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings can be made by the client through our approved booking channels as indicated on our website or promotional materials from time to time.

3.2 When making a booking, the client must provide accurate and complete information, including the address of the premises, type and approximate size of the areas to be cleaned, type of carpet or flooring, presence of stains, access details, and any parking requirements.

3.3 All bookings are subject to our acceptance and availability. A booking will only be confirmed once we have provided a booking confirmation, which may be verbal or written, and a date and time have been agreed.

3.4 We reserve the right to amend the quoted price or to cancel the booking if the information provided by the client is inaccurate or incomplete, or if the actual condition or size of the premises on arrival is significantly different from that described at the time of booking.

3.5 The client must ensure that an authorised adult is present at the premises at the agreed time to grant access, discuss any specific concerns, and accept completion of the work.

4. Quotations and Pricing

4.1 Any quotation provided is based on the information supplied by the client and is subject to inspection of the premises and carpets on arrival.

4.2 Quotations may be provided as a fixed price or an estimate. We will make it clear at the time of booking which applies.

4.3 We reserve the right to revise any quotation after inspection of the premises or if additional work is requested by the client that was not originally included in the booking.

4.4 All prices are stated in pounds sterling and may be subject to applicable taxes, which will be advised at the time of booking if relevant.

5. Payments

5.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due immediately upon completion of the services on the same day.

5.2 We accept payment by methods advised at the time of booking. The client is responsible for ensuring that a valid and acceptable method of payment is available at the premises or otherwise provided in accordance with our instructions.

5.3 Where we agree to invoice a business client, payment shall be due within the payment term indicated on the invoice. If no term is specified, payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.

5.4 We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at the statutory rate applicable to commercial debts, accruing daily until payment is received in full.

5.5 The client shall not be entitled to withhold, set off, or deduct any amount from sums due to us, except where required by law or agreed by us in writing.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

6.1 The client may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving us notice through our approved contact channels.

6.2 If the client cancels or reschedules the booking more than 48 hours before the agreed start time, no cancellation fee will normally be charged.

6.3 If the client cancels or reschedules the booking less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours before the agreed start time, we reserve the right to charge a partial cancellation fee to cover allocated resources and administrative costs.

6.4 If the client cancels or reschedules the booking less than 24 hours before the agreed start time, or fails to provide access to the premises at the agreed time, we reserve the right to charge up to 100 percent of the quoted service price.

6.5 We may cancel or reschedule a booking where circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent us from delivering the services as booked. In such cases, we will endeavour to offer an alternative appointment. We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from such cancellation or rescheduling.

7. Client Obligations

7.1 The client must provide safe and reasonable access to the premises at the agreed time, including any access codes, keys, parking arrangements, or entry instructions.

7.2 The client is responsible for ensuring that the premises are reasonably prepared for cleaning, which may include removing small items, breakables, and clutter from the floors to be cleaned.

7.3 The client must inform us in advance of any known risks, hazards, delicate materials, pre-existing damage, or special requirements that may affect the provision of the services.

7.4 The client must ensure that there is a functioning supply of electricity and water at the premises where required for the services.

7.5 The client is responsible for supervising children, pets, and any other persons present during the service and for keeping them away from cleaning machinery, cables, and wet areas.

8. Service Limitations and Results

8.1 We will use reasonable care and skill in providing the services and will endeavour to achieve the best possible results, taking into account the age, condition, and type of the carpets, stains, and fabrics.

8.2 We cannot guarantee complete removal of all stains, odours, or marks, particularly where they are old, set in, caused by substances that permanently alter fibres or dyes, or where previous cleaning attempts have affected the material.

8.3 Where we reasonably consider that a particular treatment may damage the carpet or fabric, we may refuse to carry out that treatment, even if requested by the client.

8.4 Drying times are estimates only and can vary depending on factors such as ventilation, temperature, humidity, and carpet thickness. We are not liable for any issues arising from the client or third parties walking on carpets before they are fully dry.

9. Liability and Damage

9.1 We will take reasonable care when carrying out the services at the premises. If we cause damage to the client’s property as a direct result of our negligence, we will, at our option, repair the damage or compensate the client for the reasonable cost of repair.

9.2 The client must notify us of any alleged damage or complaint as soon as reasonably practicable and in any event within 48 hours of completion of the services. We may request photographs, evidence, and a reasonable opportunity to inspect the alleged damage before any remedial action is taken.

9.3 We shall not be liable for any pre-existing damage, wear and tear, defects, loose fittings, or deterioration that becomes apparent during or after cleaning.

9.4 We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity, arising from or in connection with the services.

9.5 Our total aggregate liability to the client for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the services, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total price paid or payable for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

9.6 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Waste and Environmental Regulations

10.1 We will handle waste water and residues resulting from the cleaning process in accordance with relevant environmental and waste regulations applicable in our operating areas.

10.2 Where practicable, waste water will be disposed of through appropriate drainage systems at the premises or in another lawful manner. We will not dispose of waste in a way that knowingly breaches local or national regulations.

10.3 The client must ensure that suitable access is available to drainage points where required for lawful disposal. If appropriate facilities are not available at the premises, we may need to adapt the method of work or, in rare cases, decline to proceed.

10.4 The client must inform us of any specific environmental restrictions, private drainage systems, or limitations on waste disposal at the premises before the work commences.

10.5 We will use cleaning products that are appropriate for the task and, where reasonably possible, consider the environmental impact of our choices. However, we reserve the right to use professional-grade products where required to achieve an acceptable cleaning standard.

11. Health and Safety

11.1 We will take reasonable steps to ensure the health and safety of our operatives and others present at the premises during the provision of the services.

11.2 The client must not request or insist that our operatives undertake any activity that is unsafe, unlawful, or outside the agreed scope of services.

11.3 The client is responsible for ensuring that the premises are free from serious health hazards, including but not limited to infestation, hazardous materials, or exposed electrical wiring. We reserve the right to withdraw our operatives and cancel the service if such hazards are identified.

12. Complaints and Service Issues

12.1 If the client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the services, the client must notify us as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after completion of the work.

12.2 Upon receiving a complaint, we may request further details, evidence, or an opportunity to inspect the premises. Where we consider the complaint justified, we may offer a re-clean of the affected area, a partial refund, or other appropriate remedy, at our discretion.

12.3 Making a complaint does not entitle the client to delay or withhold payment for services already provided, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

13. Force Majeure

13.1 We shall not be liable for any delay in performing or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure results from events, circumstances, or causes beyond our reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to, extreme weather conditions, transport disruption, strikes, accidents, illness, or government restrictions.

13.2 In the event of a force majeure situation, we will use reasonable endeavours to inform the client and to reschedule the services where possible.

14. Privacy and Data Protection

14.1 We will collect and process personal information about clients only to the extent necessary for the purpose of providing our services, managing bookings, processing payments, and handling enquiries or complaints.

14.2 We will take reasonable steps to safeguard personal data against unauthorised access, use, or disclosure, in line with applicable data protection laws.

14.3 By providing personal information, the client consents to its use for the purposes described in these Terms and Conditions and any related privacy information made available by us.

15. Amendments to Terms

15.1 We may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect when posted on our website or otherwise notified to clients.

15.2 The terms that apply to a particular booking will be those in force at the time the booking is confirmed, unless a change is required by law or regulation.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

16.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

16.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the services provided to the client.

17. General Provisions

17.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17.2 No failure or delay by us in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of that right or remedy, nor shall any single or partial exercise of any such right or remedy prevent any further exercise of it.

17.3 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the client and Carpet Cleaners Ilford in relation to the services and supersede any prior discussions, correspondence, or understandings.
